In the period from 1999 to 2008, Seatrout Fyn has released approximately 3.5 million trout smolt. More and more sea trout are making their way up Fyn's waterways to spawn, and the waterways have larger stocks of trout than just 20 years ago. Last but not least, more and larger sea trout have been caught along the coasts in recent years. Sea trout anglers rave about the many possibilities here because they can always find a sheltered section of coastline. The short distances let you switch angling spots quickly and easily when there’s a change in the weather.
The South Funen Archipelago is a Paradise for Anglers. Along the coast of South Funen, and especiellly around the Islands of Lyø and Avernakø (reachable from Faaborg by ferry), there is scarcely a single metre of where a sea trout cannont be caught.
