The Land of Lilacs in May

Holland has tulips, France has lavender - and in South Funen, the lilacs burst forth and paint the landscape in a sea of purple hues. It's a living cultural heritage that is celebrated with experiences and events throughout May.

When the Landscape Smells of Spring

The lilac is more than a beautiful flower. It is fragrant nostalgia, living fences, and everyday poetry. It grows where the landscape is allowed to unfold, between farms, in small groves, and along old parish roads.

From mid-May, it starts to blossom and transforms the South Funen landscape into something almost dreamlike. But it's not just what you see that makes an impression, it's also what you feel: the scent, the light, the tranquillity, and the feeling that time is slowing down.

The Land of Lilacs is spring with open senses. A place where the flowers are not lined up in rows, but follow their own rhythm - just like the adventures here.
