Lyø Trille - Havørred Fyn Hotspot nr. 81

The northern tip of Lyø is called Lyø Trille and is just one of several superb spots on the island. The reason it is mentioned separately is because Trillen is a reserve during the breeding season for shorebirds - from March 1 to July 15. During this time, access to Lyø Trille is prohibited, and during this part of the year you have to make do with some of Lyø's other good sea trout stretches.

The rest of the year, however, you are more than welcome, and the autumn fishing can be particularly good. It is the deep, western side up towards the tip that is most interesting, but when you get all the way out there, remember to also go around the right side of the tip. Because here, on the eastern side, there is a small, delicious reef that often holds a fine sea trout.
