Easy access and a good chance of catching fish from your very first cast. The stretch north of Bøjden Ferry Harbour features bladderwrack, rocky areas, and a productive mussel bed – but also slippery clay bottoms, so wade with caution. An exciting fishing spot with potential all the way along the coastline.
Park at Bøjden Ferry Port, walk down to the water on the northern side of the harbor, and cast your first cast straight out along the stone pier - there is often a fish here. When it is on land, fish further north and around the corner where the coast turns into Sønderfjorden, which is the outer part of Helnæs Bugten.
The first stretch is characterized by a rocky bottom with lots of seaweed, which makes wading fishing a bit tricky. Be especially careful when you round the first corner after the harbor and wade just below the small cliff with the house on top. Here, the bottom in some places consists of pure clay - and it is slippery!
It is advisable to fish all the way out to the fine mussel bank at the northernmost tip, about one kilometer from the ferry port.
