All routes start and end on the church path, and all pass by Horne Round Church.

  RED ROUTE: 2.9 km
An easy route without major inclines, passing the highest point in the area – Tåstebjerg at 60 metres.   YELLOW ROUTE: 4.7 km
The yellow route also passes Tåstebjerg. The route is hilly with beautiful views at the top of Tværgyden. From here you can see Lyø with its long, curved reef, which provides shelter and gave the island its name.   BLUE ROUTE: 7 km + optional detour 9.5 km
A walk through the old western part of town, past the sports centre and into the forest in Vænget.
Halfway along the southern part of the route, you can take a detour further south, past the ancient monument Duerods Høje, and continue past the beautiful Caprifoliehuset, an artist’s home built by the painter Jørgen Ploug as a studio – later a restaurant – now a private residence.
In the area down towards the water, the occupying forces during World War II built a charging station for submarines – see the information board on site. Note: only a few remains of piles can be seen today.
Follow the same path back to the blue route.   PURPLE ROUTE: 9.2 km
The purple route is also hilly and passes Tåstebjerg. At the end of the asphalt road of Tåstebjerggydene, there is a fine view of Als, Lyø, Ærø and Avernakø. The route passes Kimesbjerggård Vineyard and Sinebjerg Markhus, a 200‑year‑old field house which in 2022 was restored to its original appearance as built by the count of Hvedholm Estate. The field house is open to everyone. There are tables and benches inside and outside, and plenty of information about the house and its history. On the stretch between Sinebjerg Beach and Bjerne, you pass old, beautiful stone walls. In Bjerne, there is a picnic shelter with tables and benches.
