The Faaborg-Ringe Trail

It is now possible to hike between the two largest towns in Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality.
Along the entire 38 km route, you will follow the light green pictograms of the Faaborg-Ringe Trail.

However, along the way, you will also walk stretches of the Øhavsstien (Archipelago Trail), the brown route in Svanninge Bjerge, the yellow route in Sollerup Forest, the Arreskov Lake Trail, the Rail Trail between Korinth and Ringe, and the Ringe-Espe Trail.

Each of these trails is a delightful nature experience on its own — now you can enjoy them all in one continuous stretch.

There are options for primitive camping in Espe Folk and Tumle Park and in Sollerup Forest near Helvedes Hule. Additionally, overnight accommodation is available at Korinth Inn.

In both Faaborg and Ringe, you can start or finish your hike by stocking up on supplies or enjoying a well-deserved café visit.

Another option is to check the timetable for the South Funen Vintage Railway and take a train ride to Korinth — then hike the 15 km back to Faaborg via the Faaborg-Ringe Trail. Or vice versa, of course: first walk the 15 km and then enjoy the view from the vintage train back to Faaborg. The vintage train runs approximately three times a week during the summer holidays.
