Sonia Brandes Papirklip

During Easter week, you can see a unique exhibition of artist Sonia Brande's famous papercuts.

Sonia Brandes, who now lives in Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality, was born in 1946 and grew up on Ærø. It was as a child on Ærø that Sonia Brandes learned - and every year enjoyed - making mourning cards, which eventually became her artistic form of expression.

Sonia Brandes is exhibiting at Den Gamle Gaard in Faaborg from Palm Sunday, 2 April, to Easter Sunday, 10 April, from 1 to 4 p.m. and is part of "Easter Days in Faaborg 2023". It will be possible to buy Sonia Brande's papercuts at the exhibition.
