The Øhavsmuseet celebrates spring with nice egg-tivities during the Easter holidays.

Take family and friends under your arm and make your own unique Easter decorations at the long table. Fine wooden figurines are available for DKK 20, and then you're ready to unleash your imagination with feathers, beads and fabric. The little spring babies can be decorated in the window or on fresh branches in the vase.

Spring is the time when all new life sprouts, and the egg is a particular focus. In the Christian tradition, it is the symbol of Jesus' resurrection. In the past, people fasted for 40 days from Lent to Easter Saturday, after which Easter was celebrated with eggs. Servants on farms also received eggs as part of their Easter wages.

If you need a break from the Easter decorations, the café has hot and cold drinks, sweet treats and great souvenirs for young and old. The "Feel Yourself" exhibition is open throughout the Easter holidays, where you can explore the relationship of ancestors and yourself with nature.
