Travel back in time. Experience a little piece of Faaborg, as it was 200 or 300 years ago. Whether you are a child or an adult, the special mood of the city's heyday creeps under the skin of a visit to The Old Farm. Here you can meet the 17th and 19th centuries through the beautiful old rooms both inside and out. Here, treasures have been brought home from the large world garden, but also beautiful embroidery from Lyø, right out in the South Funen Archipelago.

Autumn holidays - Take the Sailor's test and sail from South Funen to China

Do you have what it takes to become a full-fledged sailor on a dangerous trip to China? Goods have to be loaded, the course has to be stabbed, knots have to be tied and the moorings must be thrown when children of all ages can experience Poul Kinafare's journey from the stables to grandparents. If the children pass the hardships, they pass the Sailor's Test!

Back in the 18th century, the farmer's son Poul Kinafari sailed the entire 3 times to China. He then settled down as a grocer in Faaborg and ended up as a successful merchant.

Monday-Friday of week 42 from 6 p.m. 11-15.

At the museum you can also take a rest in the tea pavilion in the garden. Here are games, books and toys for free use - just for a nice summer break!
The museum in Den Gaard is the place where you can find out more about Faaborg's history and feel yourself left for another time both inside and outside. The entrance to the museum is right at the end of the pedestrian street and in the entrance you will find the beautiful newly renovated museum shop where you can buy a memorial or a gift.
